Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputes at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Trespass--March 1, 10:57 p.m., Bubb Road. Three people entered a fenced area with a "No Trespassing" sign. Police found 1.6 grams of marijuana in one person's pocket. All three suspects were cited and released.
Burglary--March 1, 10:58 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. Someone stole personal property from a man's car by breaking a window.
Forgery--March 1, 4:18 p.m., S. Tantau Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard. The victim stated that someone signed his name and cashed a check at a Washington Mutual bank.
Drunk in public--March 1, 12:40 a.m., De Anza Boulevard at McClellan Road. Police responded to an intoxicated person. The suspect was arrested for public drunkenness and released to American Medical Response.
Auto Burglary--Feb. 29, 11:35 p.m., Perimeter Road at Stevens Creek Boulevard. Between 12:05 and 11:15 p.m. a man reported that someone shattered the front side window of his car and stole personal property.
Battery with injury--Feb. 29, 6:04 p.m., Gascoigne Drive. A man says that someone grabbed him by head and attempted to gouge his eyes. The victim suffered injuries to his right eye, right eyebrow, left shoulder and the left side of his neck.
Brandishing gun at vehicle occupant--Feb. 29, 1:02 p.m., Homestead Road at Forge Way. The victim said a man stopped his vehicle in front of the victim's car and pointed a gun at him. The suspect fled the scene but was found minutes later hiding in a nearby store. He was arrested and booked into the mail jail.
Possession of a knife at school--Feb. 29,10:05 a.m. Bollinger Road. An assistant principal discovered a student who had possession of a folding, 3-inch blade knife and a cigarette lighter. The student admitted the knife and lighter were his. He was cited and released.
Residential burglary--Feb. 28, 8:00 p.m., Milky Way. Between 9 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. someone entered a woman's home through a sliding glass door and stole her laptop and jewelry.
Robbery--Feb. 28, 7:50 p.m., Bandley Drive. A passenger in a car approached a woman asking for directions. When the victim approached the car, the suspect ripped her purse from her arms and fled the scene. The car is described as an older-model compact.
Vehicle Burglary--Feb. 27, 9:30 p.m., N. Wolfe Road. A man said someone broke into his car and stole his computer equipment.
Vehicle burglary--Feb. 26, 5:00 p.m., Hunterston Place. A woman said between 10:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. someone broke into her vehicle and stole $2,000 worth of personal property.
Vehicle burglary--Feb. 27, 10:40 p.m., Homestead Road. A man said someone broke until his vehicle and stole his navigation system.
