Vasona Snow Storm

Ten-year-old Matthew Kernahan skims across the snow that blanketed part of Vasona Lake County Park Dec. 12 as part of a winter wonderland organized by Eastfield Ming Quong and sponsored by AquaCuisine, CheckPoint Software and the San Francisco 49ers. Some 100 youngsters turned out to play in 80,000 pounds of generated snow and enjoy music, food and hot chocolate. 49er defensive backfield coach Jim Mora and his backfield team were on hand to sign autographs.
