Police Report

Burglary--Dec. 26, 8:12 a.m. on Blossom Hill Road. Someone broke into the snack shack near the baseball fields in Blossom Hill Park. Police took a report.

Possible fire--Dec. 26, 4:07 p.m. on Bruce Avenue. A caller said the kitchen wall was hot; on the other side was a fireplace that had been lit earlier, and the caller feared a fire was smoldering in the wall. Police transferred the call to the Central Fire District.

Alarm--Dec. 26, 10:24 p.m. on Los Gatos Boulevard. Police arrived at a business alarm and discovered a carpet-cleaning person set it off.

Advice--Dec. 27, 9:32 a.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller complained of heavy cigar smoke coming from next door and wanted to know what could be done about it. Police gave advice.

Theft--Dec. 27, 12 p.m. on Daves Avenue. Someone stole a large stone dog statue from the caller's front porch. Police took a report.

Patrol checks--Dec. 27, 5:34 p.m. at Short and Old Blossom Hill roads. A caller reported an ongoing problem with speeding drivers in this area. Police will give the area extra checks when on patrol.

Driving under the influence--Dec. 27, 9:32 p.m. at Los Gatos- Saratoga Road and University Avenue. Following a traffic stop, police arrested a man for DUI.

Found property--Dec. 28, 8:30 a.m. on Roberts Road. A woman found a wreath made with purple berries and eucalyptus leaves and told police they could get in touch with her if someone reported losing a wreath.

Reckless driving--Dec. 28, 5:14 p.m. at Lester Lane and Longridge Road. A caller saw a blue sports car occupied by two young men speeding and driving in "doughnuts" in the intersection. Police drove through the area but did not locate the car.
