On Jan. 3 at 7:50 a.m., Los Gatos Police detectives and High Risk Entry Team members joined the Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement's Clandestine Lab Team in serving a search warrant at 3259 Whispering Elm Court in San Jose.
According to Sgt. Tricia Friedrich, the LGPD detectives had developed information re-garding a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory being operated in that location.
Upon entering the residence, officers detained 17 people; five were arrested, including a 16-year-old female runaway. The juvenile was booked for possession for sales of drugs at Juvenile Hall. Dionisio and Jesse Servania, both of 3259 Whispering Elm Court, were booked into the county jail for possession for sales of drugs and the manufacturing of drugs. Hermelino Pintor, also living at that residence, and Alex Basa of Sunnyvale were booked for possession for sales of drugs.
Officers discovered equipment and chemicals consistent with those used for converting methamphetamine into "ice"--a crystallized, highly potent form of methamphetamine. They seized a half ounce of ice, valued at $2,500, $4,000 in cash, drug manufacturing equipment and other items of evidence.
