Malicious mischief--Dec. 29, 7:41 a.m. on Vista Del Campo. Several cars in the area had their tires slashed during the previous night. Police took reports from all the neighbors.
Disturbance--Dec. 29, 1:27 p.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A woman refused to move her car, which was in the way of a truck driver who had completed his delivery. An officer contacted both parties and the situation was resolved.
Suspicious person--Dec. 29, 3:38 p.m. on Blossom Hill Road. A caller reported seeing a man with dirty blond hair, a beard and mustache, a green jacket and faded jeans walking around and looking at houses, perhaps "casing" the neighborhood. He was gone when police arrived.
Drunk in public--Dec. 30, 1:44 a.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller reported that a man was extremely intoxicated and was trying to pick fights with passersby. He then left the area on foot. Police arrested him for public drunkenness.
Theft--Dec. 30, 2:11 p.m. on Montclair Road. Someone stole the front license plate from a car; the victim had no suspect information. Police took a report.
Patrol checks--Dec. 31, 8:30 a.m. on E. Main Street. A caller requested that police check the area around the library because three people had allegedly been sleeping in the alcove during the night.
Disturbance/domestic violence--Jan. 1, 12:02 a.m. on Los Gatos- Saratoga Road. The manager of a housing complex called the police to report a disturbance. Police arrived, and together with the manager they discovered an upset woman in one of the units; the suspect apparently had already left. Police took a report.
Neighbor disturbance--Jan. 1, 12:39 a.m. on Los Gatos-Almaden Road. A caller complained of a large party with loud music and occasional fireworks going off. Police contacted and advised the party host.
Reckless driving--Jan. 1, 1:38 a.m. on Massol Avenue. A caller reported that someone had been riding up and down the street on a motorcycle for the past 45 minutes. The noisy cycle was gone when police arrived.
