    Los Gatos United holds soccer meeting, tryouts

    The Los Gatos United Soccer League will hold its annual general meeting on Jan. 29, 7 p.m., in the cafeteria at Fisher Middle School.

    Upcoming tryouts for Los Gatos teams will be held in February. Teams holding tryouts include:

    Los Gatos Metro has scheduled tryouts for the 2001 season.

    Tryouts for the boys under-11 Class 1 team will be held Feb. 3, 9 a.m., (call for location) and Feb. 4 and 11 at Fisher Middle School (call for times). Players must have been born after July 31, 1990. For more information about the tryouts, call John Cleveland at 408.395.7464.

    There will also be tryouts held for a girls under-15 Class 1 team and for a boys under-14 Class 1 team. For more information, call Dave Gold at 408.997.7775.

    The Los Gatos Lock, a girls under-12 Class 1 team in the Los Gatos United Soccer League, will hold tryouts on Feb. 3-4 and Feb. 10-11. The Lock is looking for players (born after July 31, 1989) at all positions, but especially goalkeepers. For more information about the tryouts, call at 408.377.6361 or email jmeulman@2Wire.com.

    The Los Gatos Boots, a girls under-10 Class 3 team in the Los Gatos United Soccer League, will hold tryouts on Feb. 10 and 17. The Boots are looking for players (born after July 31, 1991) at all positions. For more information about the tryouts, call Quinn Mommaerts at 408.356.0798.
