Police Report

Noisy animal--Jan. 11, 8:50 a.m. on Mays Avenue. A caller complained of ongoing problems with a neighbor's dog and wanted to sign a complaint. Police contacted the caller and left a note for the owner.

Patrol checks--Jan. 11, 11:35 a.m. on Verona Court. A caller reported a solicitor selling magazines without a permit the previous night and was concerned he might be casing the area.

Child trapped--Jan. 11, 5:43 p.m. on Olive Street. A 6-year-old child was inside a washing machine and couldn't get out. Police transferred the call to the Central Fire District.

Firearms discharged--Jan. 12, 4:40 p.m. on Camino del Sol. A caller said neighbors were shooting at birds with an unknown type of gun. The neighbors were gone when police arrived; an officer left a note at their residence.

Disturbance--Jan. 13, 12:06 a.m. on Towne Terrace. Yelling and crashing sounds were heard in front of an apartment. Police counseled the individuals involved.

Suspicious person--Jan. 13, 11:33 a.m. at S. Santa Cruz Avenue and Broadway. A man was yelling at people standing near the bus stop. Police contacted the man and determined he was not mentally disturbed or dangerous. He then boarded a bus to go home.

Suspicious circumstances--Jan. 13, 11:42 a.m. on W. Parr Avenue. A caller said she suspects her neighbors may be videotaping her at night. Police gave advice.

Prowler--Jan. 13, 11:49 a.m. on Carlton Avenue. A man was seen on a fence, peering into back yards. He ran off when he saw the caller who reported him. Police searched the area, but they did not find him.

Vegetable conflict--Jan. 14, 12:04 p.m. on Los Gatos Boulevard. A caller complained of ongoing problems with rotten vegetables being thrown at his house from the back of a supermarket; he believes employees are responsible. Police gave advice.
