Lee Quintana chairs planning commission
By Gloria I. Wang
Planning commissioners on Jan. 23 unanimously elected Lee Quintana chairwoman and Suzanne Müller vice chairwoman for the upcoming year.
Quintana, a retired planner for the city of San Jose, was appointed to her four-year term in 1999 by the Los Gatos Town Council. Quintana's role as chairwoman will be to run planning commission meetings; she was vice chairwoman in 2001. Müller was appointed in January 2000.
Quintana replaces outgoing chairman Jim Lyon, whose term expires Jan. 31; he has chosen not to reapply for a seat on the commission. Commissioner Peggy Marcucci's position will also be vacated Jan. 31, since she has decided not to reapply.
Lyon's last day as chairman will be at the Jan. 30 planning commission meeting. Planning commission appointments will take place at the Feb. 4 town council meeting.
