    Soccer players will fill the area fields during weekend tryouts

    The sports fields of the area will be filled with soccer players over the next few weeks as teams from the Los Gatos United Soccer League hold tryouts for the upcoming spring and fall seasons.

  • The Los Gatos girls under-12 select soccer team will hold tryouts for the spring and fall seasons on Feb. 9 and 10. Early training sessions are now being held Thursday, 3:30-5 p.m., at Fisher Middle School. For more information, contact Stephanie Comeau at 408.395.3717 or scomeau2@attbi.com.

  • The Los Gatos Metro, a boys under-12 select soccer team, will hold tryouts for the spring and fall seasons on Feb. 9 and 10, 2 p.m. each day, at Fisher Middle School. Prospective players must have been born after July 31, 1990.   • The Los Gatos Lock, a girls under-13 select soccer team, is holding tryouts for the spring and fall seasons Feb. 9-10 at Fisher Middle School. The team is looking for competitive players for all positions. For more information, call Joan Meulman at 408.205.5016 or Jmeulman@2wire.com.

  • Los Gatos United Soccer League will hold tryouts for Class 3 (Comp) teams starting Feb. 2-3 and running though March 2-3 at Fisher Middle School. For further information on the tryouts, contact:

  • The Los Gatos Jaguars, a boys under-10 Class 3 (comp) soccer team, is holding tryouts on Feb. 27, 3:30-5 p.m., at Oak Meadow Park and March 2-3, 8:30-10 a.m., at Fisher Middle School.   • The Los Gatos Boots, a girls under-11 Class 3 (comp) soccer team, is holding tryouts Feb. 23-24 and March 2-3. Girls born between Aug. 1, 1991, and July 31, 1992, are eligible.
