Recreation department honors board member
Los Gatos Weekly-Times columnist John Baggerly is being honored this week for his years of service on the governing board of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Department of Community Education and Recreation.
At a Feb. 6 meeting, Recreation Department Director Bob Best commended Baggerly for his work as the board representative for Los Gatos. Baggerly, who stepped down from the board this year, will be pictured on the cover of the department's spring 1996 catalog.
Los Gatos Planning Commissioner wins AIA recognition
The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects presented Los Gatos Planning Commissioner Leonard Pacheco with its 1995 President's Award at a December meeting.
Pacheco, who recently retired as a design coordinator with Santa Clara County, is a member of the Historic Preservation Committee and the Los Gatos Planning Commission.
At the awards ceremony, AIA chapter president Ed Janke commended Pacheco for his work on chapter projects, such as a recent mixed-used development symposium.
Transportation Agency goes on World Wide Web
The Santa Clara County Transportation Agency has created a home page on the World Wide Web computer network.
The agency's page features schedules and maps for all TA bus and light rail routes, Transit District Board agendas and minutes and descriptions of all TA services, including profiles and pictures of the six historic agency-operated trolleys. The Web site also points users to other information about Bay Area transit services.
