Several juveniles were observed spraypainting graffiti in the area at 4 p.m. Petty Theft--Feb. 1, 4:29 p.m., on Alpine Avenue. A resident's $200 bronze dog was stolen from in front of his home during the night. Petty Theft--Feb. 1, 1:37 p.m., on S. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller reported that her mail is being stolen from the post office. She told police that someone is using her identity but she was unable to provide documentation to back up her claim. Vandalism--Feb. 1, 12:50 a.m., on Winchester Boulevard. An unknown suspect threw something against a resident's back window, breaking it. Possession--Feb. 1, 10:03 a.m., on High School Court. A student was caught smoking on school grounds. Residential Burglary--Jan. 31, 10:46 a.m., on Castlewood Drive. Two bike tires were taken from the inside of a garage by an unknown suspect. Assault--Jan. 30, 6:42 p.m., on Gilman Drive. A man hit a woman in the head with a small gun after an argument about a dog. Grand Theft--Jan. 30, 1:36 p.m., on Farley Road. A blue 21-speed bike was taken from a resident's backyard within the past few days. The possible suspect left a bike in exchange. Grand Theft--Jan. 30, 11:38 a.m., on University Avenue. Thirty cases of wine were taken from a storage area. Victim told police he believes his ex-wife is the suspect. Vandalism--Jan. 30, 11:29 a.m., on Vasona Court. The reportee's girlfriend's car was keyed, possibly by his ex-wife. Petty Theft--Jan. 29, 4:44 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A radio and other miscellaneous items were taken by an unknown person. Disturbance--Jan. 29, 4:27 p.m., on Oka Road. A homeless woman kept trying to get into a classroom. The woman may be mentally ill, and the reportee said she appeared agitated. The woman has no history of violence and was sent on her way by police. Suspicious Activity--Jan. 29, 1:35 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Two men were seen hanging around a business and urinating in the bushes. Theft--Jan. 29, 12:01 p.m., on Vista Del Monte. An unknown suspect in his 20s took money from a husband and wife. The suspect said someone was out to get them. The wife reported the incident to the District Attorney's office, which told her to contact the police. Petty Theft--Jan. 29, 8:49 a.m., on W. Main Street. Two bags of cement were taken from in front of a business sometime during the night. The reportee wants extra patrols and told police it is the third time this has happened.
