Los Gatos Weekly-Times Sports Briefs Wedemeyer Gala The first annual Charlie Wedemeyer Celebration Gala, honoring outstanding Bay Area high school seniors, will be held May 20, 6 p.m., in the Imperial Ballroom at the Fairmont Hotel. Special guests for the evening event include Peggy Fleming, Jan Hutchins, Michael Nouri and John Ralston. Scholarships of $1,000 each will be presented to college-bound athletes who have overcome adversity or challenge and who have demonstrated a positive attitude in helping others. Baseball Camp The high school baseball coaching staff at Willow Glen will host a special spring training mini-camp for players ages 8-12 on Feb. 13. Valentine Run The annual Valentine 10K fun run and 5K walk returns to Campbell on Feb. 13, 9 a.m. The event begins at Water Tower Plaza, First Street and Orchard City Drive in downtown Campbell, and the cost is $15 per entrant.
