John DiNapoli named firm's asset manager
DiNapoli Companies, a property management company responsible for approximately 3 million square feet of commercial property in the South Bay, has hired Los Gatan John B. DiNapoli as the firm's new asset manager. His duties and responsibilities include acquisitions, dispositions and tenant and broker relations.
A graduate of the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in urban planning and a minor in public administration, DiNapoli has accumulated a range of experience in the field. Most recently, he served as land acquisition manager for Summerhill Homes, the company that recently built the Los Gatos Glen tract across from Vasona Park.
Jill Capela joins board of EMQ
Los Gatos resident and entrepreneur Jill Capela was elected in December to the Eastfield Ming Quong board of directors. Capela is the founder, president and CEO of Orthopaedic and Neurological Rehabilitation Inc., of Los Gatos, which provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services primarily for seniors.
She also serves on the board of Harmony Provider Network, Inc., and is a member of the Adaptive Business Leaders Organization.
EMQ, with facilities in Campbell and Los Gatos, provides a continuum of mental health services for children, adolescents and families.
Keith Plottel CPA receives review
The Los Gatos firm of Keith D. Plottel CPA, Inc., received an independent peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. The review, administered by the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, concluded that the firm complies with all quality control standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In evaluating a firm's quality controls, a reviewer's considerations include the qualifications of employees, proper training and supervision, appropriate employee advancement and access to necessary technical resources. The AICPA is a voluntary, standard-setting organization of certified public accountants; the CSCPA is a statewide organization that promotes and serves the accounting profession.
