    The Prowler

Thai chicken, garlic chicken with bacon, grilled veggie, pepperoni-mushroom, potato-gorgonzola--how's a hungry cat to choose among the 15 unique pies at Willow Street Wood-Fired Pizza? Folks who share the Prowler's perplexity will be excited to know that in celebration of its 10th anniversary, the restaurant chain is holding a Pizza-A-Week for 10 Years contest, whose prize should be obvious.

All it takes for a chance to win is filling out entry forms at any of the three South Bay restaurants (including ours at 20 S. Santa Cruz Ave.) or the inserts in the Los Gatos Weekly-Times. Don't forget to taste the Nut Brown Birthday Ale if stopping by the restaurant--it's a limited edition brew. The winner will be announced on April Fool's Day (no joke!) during an anniversary culmination event at the original Willow Street location in San Jose. More info is available online at www.willowstreet.com.

Speaking of pizzas, which brings to mind pizza sauces, has anyone ever heard of the ecentrically named Pam'la Pesto Perfekt? This cat has, but for those who haven't, there's a chance to catch the comedian and musician's Cartoon Art Show & Comedy Cabaret on Feb. 16 at the Great Bear coffee house, at 19 N. Santa Cruz Ave.

Pam'la--whose real name is Jacqi Bowe--will host a reception starting at 6 p.m.; at 7:13 p.m. she'll start a zany comedy routine, along with some ukulele tunes! In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the show's theme is "The Evolution of Eros." Pam'la's artwork--she's also an accomplished cartoonist--will be up on the Great Bear's brick walls through Feb. 28. To find out about her other South Bay appearances, call 650.966.8234 or email pampestoperfekt@aol.com.
