Los Gatos Police are investigating two recent armed robberies.
The first incident occurred at 11:13 a.m. on Jan. 31, when a man entered the Saratoga National Bank at 15405 Los Gatos Blvd. carrying a handgun.
According to the police report, the suspect approached a bank employee who was seated at her desk, grabbed her by the right arm and made her walk with him over to a teller. He was shaking and appeared very nervous.
He told the teller, "I want your money, all your money." The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash, which he placed in a small gym bag. He then fled on foot,
and no getaway vehicle was seen, police said.
The suspect, who looked to be about 35, is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 150 pounds, with long curly black hair, a black mustache and goatee and a pockmarked face. He wore a dark blue baseball cap, dark denim jacket and blue pants with electrical ties attached to his belt, police said.
A second armed robbery took place at 3:16 a.m. on Feb. 3 outside the offices of Dr. Tony Choi, a dentist, at 15251 National Avenue.
Police said a man armed with a handgun accosted a woman, robbed her and fled; she was unharmed. Because it was dark, she could not provide police with much descriptive detail, but said she thought he was about 25 years old, black and may have worn a knit cap.
No getaway vehicle was seen or heard, although an officer did notice a car without headlights in the vicinity of National and Carlton avenues, police said.
Both incidents remain under investigation. Police said they do not yet know whether the crimes are related. Anyone with information about either crime should call the LGPD at 354-6825 or 354-5257.
