Bryan Giese-Gardner, sophomore, and Cynthia Shiraev, senior, rehearse for their roles as Nick Arnstein and Fanny Brice in Los Gatos High School's spring musical, Funny Girl. Directed by Mike Boston, the play is based on comedian Fanny Brice's life and will be presented Feb. 15, 16 and 17 and 22, 23 and 24 at the Prentiss Brown Auditorium. Because so many talented actors auditioned, six major roles were double cast, including the two title characters; Giese-Gardner and junior Brian Snyder share the portrayal of Arnstein, while Shiraev and senior Marisa Thompson portray Brice. Tickets are $8 reserved and $6 general and may be purchased at the LGHS main office or by calling 354-2730, ext. 240.
