Patrol checks--Feb. 8, 12:10 p.m. on University Avenue. A caller reported that two sports cars have a speed contest on University Avenue between Lark Avenue and Blossom Hill Road, usually every night between 10 and 11 p.m.
Suspicious person--Feb. 8, 2:52 p.m. on Bancroft Avenue. A man was selling cleaning products and looking into garages. Police advised him that he needed a town permit to solicit door-to-door.
Residential burglary--Feb. 8, 6:13 p.m. on Happy Acres Road. The rear bedroom window of a house was removed; a CD player and unknown other items were stolen. Police took a report.
Suspicious circumstances--Feb. 8, 8:35 p.m. on Andrews Street. A resident heard the doorbell ring and then heard someone trying to open the locked door. Police checked the area but did not locate anyone suspicious.
Pet dispute--Feb. 9, 8:26 p.m. on Danville Drive. A caller complained that his neighbor's dog is allowed to run loose in the area; he would like to have the neighbor cited. Police gave advice.
Disturbance--Feb. 9, 10:15 p.m. on Carlton Avenue. Several neighbors called to report a gathering of numerous juveniles. The group disbanded when police arrived.
Drunk in public--Feb. 10, 8:31 p.m. at Capri and Knowles drives. A caller reported a man was walking around and looking into cars. Police made contact and arrested him for public drunkenness.
Possible explosion--Feb. 11, 9:48 a.m. on Bachman Avenue. A caller heard a loud boom coming from the area of a park that sounded louder than a firecracker. Police checked the area but found nothing suspicious.
Pet theft--Feb. 11, 8:33 p.m. on Lark Avenue. Someone broke into a house through the front door and stole an iguana. Police took a report.
Suspicious person--Feb. 12, 9:13 a.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A man carrying a bag with orange handles kept entering and exiting a business, which made some customers nervous. Police contacted the man and sent him on his way.
Disturbance--Feb. 12, 11:25 a.m. on Montgomery Street. A neighbor was making verbal threats and yelling at the caller through an open window. Police counseled both parties.
Malicious mischief--Feb. 12, 11:48 a.m. on Ross Creek Court. A caller complained that a neighbor has been throwing tiles into the caller's back yard. Police counseled both parties.
