Wildcat Wrestling
Wrestling will continue in Los Gatos long after the junior high and high school seasons have ended, thanks to the inauguration of the new Wildcat Wrestling Club.
Los Gatos High School wrestling coaches James Fanshier and Andy Shuch will head up the club for wrestlers in eighth grade and up.
Wrestlers will work out each Monday and Wednesday, 3-4:30 p.m., and there will be tournaments on Saturdays. Wrestling begins March 4. The cost of $75 per wrestler includes a U.S.A. Wrestling Insurance Card.

Vikes are perfect
Bennett Davison poured in 48 points in two games to help the West Valley Community College men's basketball team remain perfect in the Coast Conference season.
Davison tossed in 31 points to lead the Vikings to an 89-70 win over Chabot, and the 6-foot-8 sophomore came back with 17 points in an 80-51 win over Ohlone.
Jacobi Thompson supported with 19 points against the Gladiators, including five three-pointers. Andy Newman pitched in 10 points in the win and Bob Ladine had nine. Jamaal Sanford added six, Taplar Mvogo five, Toby Vares four, Scott Reeves three and Will Bigge two.
Davison led the Vikings with his 17 points against the Renegades. Mvogo chipped in with 16, Thompson 11, Sanford nine, Vares and Derek Mickle seven apiece, Ladine six, Reeves and Newman three each and Bigge one.
The Vikings are now 9-0 in the conference and 26-2 for the year.
Fisher needs coach
The Fisher Middle School track team is looking for a sprint and hurdle coach for the 1996 season that runs from six weeks from April through mid-May.
