    Town Council holds an all-day study session

    The Los Gatos Town Council will hold its annual study session with the town's other commissions and committees on Feb. 26, starting at 8:30 a.m.

    The council will meet with members of the Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Committee, Redevelopment Advisory Committee, Parking Commission, Trails and Bikeways Committee, Parks Commission, Community Services Commission, Arts Commission, and Library Board, in that order.

    The study session is a public meeting and will be held at the Town Council Chambers. Call 408.354.6834 for more information.

    Honorary dinner for Kathy Morgan

    Friends and associates of former Los Gatos planning commissioner Kathryn Morgan are invited to attend a dinner party honoring her 18 years of service as a commissioner.

    The dinner party will be held March 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Los Gatos Lodge. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP no later than March 3. Call Josephine DeGaetano at 408.354.6874 for more information or to make a reservation.

    Los Gatos number crunchers receive a budget reward

    Los Gatos' Finance Department was honored with a California Society of Municipal Finance Officers award for its Capital Improvement Program-Redevelopment Agency document.

    The award, officially entitled the "Outstanding Award in Budgeting," was based on the judging of other municipal finance officers. The award will be presented at the society's annual seminar in Pasadena.
