Parents concerned by comparative scores on API





    On Campus

    High school trustees elect new officers

    At its annual organizational meeting Dec. 7, the Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees elected Jackie Schmidt-Posner to serve as president. The board also elected Lorrie Wernick as vice president, Cynthia Chang as clerk and Superintendent Cynthia Ranii as secretary.

    Meanwhile, Phil Nielsen will continue to represent the Central County Occupation Committee. Schmidt-Posner will continue to represent the district on the Institute of Computer Technology board. Ron Adolphson will continue to serve as a representative to the KCAT board.

    LGHS student selected for All State Band

    Los Gatos High School student Annie Farnady was selected from more than 800 applicants to participate in the California All State Band.

    The 270 statewide students chosen rehearsed together for two days, and presented a concert on Feb. 20 in Fresno.
