Among the real estate professionals on this year's board are Joan Banks of Seville Properties, Saratoga; Jeff Barnett of Alain Pinel Realtors, Los Gatos; Mark Burns of Century 21 Contempo, Saratoga; Karen Trolan of Coldwell Banker/Cornish & Carey, Los Gatos; and Dan Turkus of Turkus Real Estate, Monte Sereno. Los Gatan takes position at Santa Clara University Jane D. Kerney-Ogle is the new director of corporate and community relations for the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. Center director Rev. Thomas Shanks, S.J., named her to this position in mid-February. Her duties include developing programs that bring the center's resources to the business community of Silicon Valley. Before Kerney-Ogle, her husband and five children relocated to California, she worked for more than 12 years as vice president of communications and planning for The Medical Center at Princeton, N.J. Windward Group appoints new director The Los Gatos-based Windward Group has appointed Tom Nolan, CEO and CFO of XCERT Software of Vancouver, B.C., to a directorship position that includes working with Windward on financial forecasting, corporate positioning and venture capital formation. After following Windward's growth for many years, Nolan decided he liked its design, development and client practices and wanted to get involved with the company. Located on University Avenue, the Windward Group provides software design and development as well as documentation and quality assurance.
