    The Prowler

Although most human members of the Prowler's extended family grew up with their original parents and siblings, this cat knows there are more and more families nowadays breaking up and fitting back together in all sorts of ways.

Any readers who identify with this might be interested in attending the first-ever Bay Area Solutions Conference for Single Parents, Blended Families and Singles Dating Single Parents. The title is a mouthful, but it's necessary to encompass all the facets of this interesting event, which takes place March 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Los Gatos' Calvary Church, located at 16330 Los Gatos Blvd.

Leading the conference and offering guidance and study materials are Dr. Donald Partridge, who holds postgraduate degrees in theology and philosophy, and his wife, Jenetha Partridge, a registered nurse and healthcare administrator. They are affiliated with the Institute for Family Research and Education. They are also the parental heads of a blended family of seven children.

Advance registration is $25 for individuals or $45 for couples; at the door it's $35 or $65, respectively. Lunch is not included. For reservations, call 800.272.5683.

As usual, the Prowler doesn't have as much space as desired, but there's just enough room to pique readers' curiosity--as this cat's certainly was--about a new, ongoing series of "Oriental Dance Classes" offered by a Los Gatan who signed their press release as Ma*Shuqa Mira Murjan, the owner of Reel Sound & Light Productions. Sound intriguing? If so, here's the number to call for further information: 408.356.9473.
