    New landscaping for Pollard Road

Slopes and median islands on the stretch of Pollard Road at the Highway 85 under-crossing will get new landscaping, thanks to a handful of leftover cash the town got from the state when the highway was originally built.

And by doing the work itself, the town gets to pocket the difference between the funding that's available, $287,000, and actual cost: about $175,000.

    Villa Felice Study Session

East Bay developers Braddock and Logan have scheduled a second study session for their planned development at Villa Felice for Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Neighborhood Center, 208 East Main St.

The public is invited to give input on traffic, site layout and community benefits. The Planning Commission put the project on hold, and will re-open the hearing April 28.

    New apartments go to planning

A proposed 56-unit apartment complex at 615 Blossom Hill Road goes to the Planning Commission for the first time on March 24.

The development is adjacent to Highway 17 but is hidden to passersby on both the highway and Blossom Hill Road. The developers, Cupertino Development Corporation, originally planned to connect the project to Placer Oaks Road, but after neighbors objected, the company redesigned it to connect through two existing apartment complexes.

The commission is also set to take a look at a townhouse complex at 16935 Roberts Road, and a controversial second-story addition at 8 Pennsylvania Ave.
