Davido: 'Infinite Distractions' CD

The Soirée Musicale

    The Prowler

The Vernal Equinox--better known as the first day of spring--has come and gone, but spring fever is just starting! Although the profusion of blooming trees and flowers may cause allergy sufferers to interpret that in the literal sense, what the Prowler had in mind has to do with fun, not discomfort.

Everyone's favorite rabbit comes to Cat Town March 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Los Gatos High School front lawn for the annual Bunny Fun Hunt. Presented by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Department of Community Education and Recreation, this free event includes candy egg hunts--in different time slots to accommodate different age groups--carnival games, a petting zoo, pony rides, an Astro Jump and a visit from Brite Eyes the Bunny. For more info, call 354-8700.

Novelists, poets, performance artists (or those who like to watch the aforementioned types), please take note--the third meeting of Michael J.'s Fiction Lounge takes place March 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Blue Rock Shoot Coffeehouse in our northwestern neighbor Saratoga. These monthly events open with a featured novelist and end with an open-mike. This month's reader is Halfden O. Hussie, co-founder and director of San Jose's Cinequest Film Festival. Hussie will read from his screenplay, Strip to the Soul and from his new novel, To the Dogs.

Speaking of taking note, the non-profit American Intercultural Student Exchange seeks local families to host a foreign exchange high school student for all or part of the 1999-2000 school year. All kids speak English, have insurance and spending money and have completed a screening process. For more info, call 1-800-SIBLING or visit www.aise.com.
