St. Luke's Church hires organist, concertmaster

Sunday concerts planned

Richard Coulter, a former Oregon resident, is the new organist and choirmaster for St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Los Gatos. Previously, Coulter worked for 10 years as director of music ministries for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salem, Ore.

At St. Luke's, Coulter plays during services and heads the choir program. He is organizing an adult choir to sing during Sunday services and during occasional Evensong services and concerts. Coulter also works with children of the parish to help prepare them for singing during worship.

Currently in the works, the Evensong concert series will be held at St. Luke's on a regular basis and will feature various South Bay music artists in Sunday concerts.
