    Police Report

    Trespassing-- March 20, 10:27 a.m. On Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, a large tractor-trailer was parked on a resident's property, blocking the driveway. The driver of the tractor-trailer told the resident the vehicle would be there for a three-day move and refused to move. The resident was thinking about making a citizen's arrest. After police confronted the driver, the vehicle was moved. No report was taken.

    Forgery-- March 20, 10:02 a.m. A Los Gatos resident wrote a for $83.20 to an auto loan company. The check was rewritten for a different amount and then cashed at a Los Gatos Boulevard grocery store. A report was taken.

    Accident-- March 19, 6:59 p.m. At a Los Gatos gas station, a man in a car struck another man, evidently in a disagreement between two brothers. The victim was an employee of the gas station, and his brother had been banned from the property. Police contacted him and told him to return, and agreed to take him into custody for trespassing if he came back. No report was taken, but advice was given.

    Accident-- March 19, 3:36 p.m. A car on Los Gatos Boulevard hit a tree in the median, breaking a water sprinkler. The car was smoking but the driver managed to get out safely. The Los Gatos Department of Parks and Public Works was contacted to turn off the water. Police contacted the driver, who had gotten a ride home, and had the car towed. A report was taken.

    Trespassing-- March 19, 5:22 p.m. Three boys, between 14 and 15 years old, were seen trying to climb over a fence into the yard of a Blossom Hill Road residence. The resident asked the juveniles what they were doing and they replied that they were just looking, but the woman suspected they were casing her house. The boys left, but the resident's husband followed them toward Blossom Hill Park, carrying one of their bikes. Police confronted the teenagers, advising them about their curiosity and planned to contact their parents. No report was taken.

    Burglary-- March 18, 7:54 p.m. A 63-year-old woman was taken into custody for attempting to take a shopping cart full of groceries from a Los Gatos Boulevard grocery store without paying. The woman was hysterical and not very cooperative with police or store management. Looking back at her record, officers found that San Jose police had contacted the woman in regard to a theft case in 1992. The woman was kept in custody.
