Daves Avenue traffic meeting seeks opinions
Monte Sereno will be holding a public meeting on March 31, at 9 a.m. to discuss the traffic surrounding Daves Avenue School. The meeting will be held at the school's cafeteria, located at 17770 Daves Ave. Everyone is invited and encouraged to voice their opinions. Kansan pleads not guilty to federal charges
Fallon Woodland, 48, pled not guilty to the charge of crossing state lines to have sex with a minor. Woodland, who is from Kansas, is accused of becoming sexually involved with a 15-year-old Los Gatos girl he met on the Internet in 1998.
Woodland appeared at the U.S. District Court in San Jose on March 15. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for April 17, at 9 a.m., also at the District Court in San Jose.
Humane Society wants residents to report abuse
The Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley has declared April as National Animal Cruelty Prevention Month. The Humane Society wants to stop violence against animals by asking residents to report abuse and neglect to the Society's investigations department at 408.727.3383, ext. 881. If the abuse is an emergency, the Society encourages residents to call 911.
