April is 'Keep Los Gatos Beautiful Month'
The town has declared April "Keep Los Gatos Beautiful Month." Activities include an Arbor Day celebration on April 26, a seed giveaway on Earth Day, a Los Gatos High School cleanup on April 20, booths on environmental issues at the Los Gatos Farmers Market and promotions for increased citizen participation in local beautification projects. LG appoints new assistant town manager
Los Gatos Town Manager Debra Figone has named Pamela S. Jacobs as the new assistant town manager, effective May 6. Jacobs is currently working as the assistant to the city manager of San Jose and has experience working in city government on various levels, as well as a background in economic policy analysis.
Former Assistant Town Manager Jim Piper left his position in November to become the assistant city manager for the city of Livermore.
Farmers Market in civic center starting April 7
The Los Gatos Farmers Market will be held in the Los Gatos Civic Center parking lot, 110 E. Main St., beginning April 7. Los Gatos Town Plaza Park, where the market is customarily held every Sunday morning, was closed for renovations March 25 and will reopen at the end of September.
The Farmers Market will continue to run Sundays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. while it is held at the civic center.
