Novice A rowers pull out big win over Berkeley

The men's novice A boat cruised to a 28-second win over Berkeley when the Los Gatos Rowing Club challenged Berkeley on March 23 in the Oakland Estuary.
Los Gatos rowers Danny Schmidt, Darren Kuiper, Alex Shoemaker, Matt Londre, Benton Sparks, Michael Cirone, Pat Horn and Erich Uher pulled to the impressive victory, with coxswain Brent Nosé calling the race.
The women's novice A boat glided to a victory the same day for Los Gatos, along with the women's novice B and freshman B boat.
Rowing for the women's novice A are Camilla Salem, Katie Daly, Kaiti Seders, Jen Rourk, Becky Thomas, Michelle Wuerz, Sam Burns and Alix Pruzansky. Ella Vallejo is the coxswain.
In the novice B boat were coxswain Alex Werner and rowers Emma Gudeman, Emily Harper, April Peth, Mary Morici, Heather Delaney, Molly Roberts, Katie Daly and Melissa Martinyak.
Vallejo is the coxswain for the women's frosh B crew, which includes Harper, Melissa Peth, Salem, Seders, Pruzansky, Gudeman, Alyssa Kehriotis and Caitlin Phelps.
The Los Gatos varsity boats will be in action April 7, competing against the top rowers on the West Coast at the San Diego Crew Classic.
