Lewis replaces Linda Asbury, who left to become the executive director of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce. Lewis is a Los Gatos native and graduated from Los Gatos High School and San Jose State University. Family members Jon and Ray Robertson have owned businesses in Los Gatos since 1946, including the Polly Prim Bakery in the 1940s, Los Gatos Office Equipment from 1953 through 1978, Los Gatos Copy Center from 1978 to 1995 and currently 1-800 Procolor Inc. Lewis has developed and managed six businesses--including retail, manufacturing, food service and a conference center. She has developed and managed two trade associations and served as a consultant to various nonprofit organizations and government commissions. She has been a board member for several Chambers of Commerce and has been a Chamber of Commerce director of tourism. She is currently chief financial officer and marketing director for 1-800 Procolor Inc. Lewis says she is looking forward to further developing programs, services and resources to promote Los Gatos businesses and to preserve the unique quality and prosperity of the town. While the Chamber's information office will remain in the Bank of America at the corner of N. Santa Cruz and Almendra avenues, Lewis plans to coordinate Chamber activities from her office at Procolor. She invites members of the business and professional community to come by her office to meet her and share ideas.
