Market moves to Civic Center
The Los Gatos Farmers Market relocated to the Civic Center parking lot on April 7, after its former home, Los Gatos Town Plaza Park, was closed for nine months of renovations. Brenda Nery (left) of Somers Ranches gives Los Gatan Fritz Maassen change after Maassen purchased some fruit. According to Farmers Market co-director Melanie Defé, some people liked the parking lot more than Town Plaza, and most of the farmers were happy with the move. Defé says that, come peak season, the market may need more space and may expand beyond the parking lot.
