    Youth soccer

    The Los Gatos United Soccer League will hold sign-ups for boys and girls ages 5-16 interested in playing in the 2002 fall season. Sign-ups are on April 23 and 29 and May 2, 6:30-9 p.m. each night, in the cafeteria at Fisher Middle School.

    Players must provide a copy of a birth certificate and a registration check at the registration.

    Practice begins Sept. 2 and games run from Sept. 14 through Nov. 17. For more information, call 408.535.8770, ext. 3, or email RecSoccer@usafinn.com.

    LL sponsors

    The Los Gatos Little League is looking for team sponsors for the 2002 season. The league fields teams for nearly 800 boys and girls in the town, from T-ball through major divisions. Sponsorship fees are $150 for T-ball, $250 for minor division and $500 for major division.

    Compaq run

    More than 3,000 runners are expected to compete in the 18th annual Compaq Up & Running 10K race April 21, 9 a.m., at Compaq's Silicon Valley headquarters, 19333 Vallco Parkway in Cupertino.

    Cindergals reunion

    The San Jose Cindergals, a top flight age group track and field club coached by Augie Argabright from 1968-85, will hold a reunion on June 16 at Vasona Park in Los Gatos.
