Cats in top 10
The Los Gatos girls' soccer team was not only No. 1 in the Central Coast Section, but the Wildcats also finished the season ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation.
The Cats were ranked ninth in the final UMBRO Girls' High School Top 10 Soccer Rating. Los Gatos finished the year with a near-perfect 24-0-1 record.
Pop Warner signups
The Los Gatos Pop Warner Football Association will hold final spring signups for the fall season on April 27, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Los Gatos High School Teen Center.
Making a special appearance at the football registration will be the cheerleaders from the championship San Jose SaberCats arena football team. The SaberCat cheerleaders will appear from noon-1 p.m., performing routines and handing out autographed pictures.
Registration that day will be for youngsters ages 8-14 interested in playing football or becoming cheerleaders in the fall. The registration fee is $85 for football and $50 for cheeerleading.

Cat's Hill Criterium
The bikes will be flying through the streets of Los Gatos for the 22nd year when the Cat's Hill Criterium returns to town on May 11. Racing begins at 10 a.m. and includes senior men's, women's and masters categories. There will also be a free public race this year. The men's pro-am caps the day at 4:05 p.m.
Soccer signups
The Los Gatos United Soccer League will hold signups for the fall season on April 22 and May 2, 7-9 p.m. each night, at Fisher Middle School. Each player must provide a copy of his or her birth certificate, a 1x1 photo and emergency phone numbers. For more information, call 358-9289.
