    Little League needs sponsors for 2001 season

    The Los Gatos Little League is looking for businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring teams for the 2001 season.

    The league season is already under way with more than 800 boys and girls from the community participating in the program.

    Sponsorships are $150 for T-ball, $250 for the minor division and $500 for the major division.

    Lampe qualifies for nationals in Lubbock, Texas

    Katie Lampe, a freshman diver at Los Gatos High, has qualified for the Junior Olympic West National Diving championships set for April 28-29 in Lubbock, Texas.

    Lampe earned her place in the Junior Olympic West Nationals by placing second on the 3-meter springboard and sixth on the 1-meter board in the 14-15 age group at the Junior Olympic Regionals in Federal Way, Wash., on March 31-April 1.

    Field hockey jamboree set for September

    The 22nd annual Willow Glen High School Field Hockey Jamboree will be held Sept. 7-8 on fields at the high school.

    Each team will play a minimum of five games in the varsity-level tournament.

    Games will be 30 minutes, with a 2-minute halftime break.

    The cost is $160 per team before June 7, $175 after that date.

    Teams interested in participating in the tournament should call Willow Glen head coach Peggy Booth at 535-6330 by April 20.
