Police Report
Assault and Battery--April 7, 11:27 a.m. on Blossom Valley Drive. Five juveniles beat up a fellow student earlier in the day. All six juveniles were in the principal's office. The police were called to take a report.
Child Abuse--April 7, 9:29 p.m. on Newell Avenue. A school employee called police to report that a child had marks on her neck and face. The child said that her grandmother had grabbed her by the face before school that morning.
Grand Theft--April 7, 9:13 a.m. on Edelen Avenue. A laptop computer was taken from a garage office. The door was left unlocked and there was no apparent forced entry.
Drunk In Public--April 7, 2:13 a.m. on North Santa Cruz Avenue. A police officer responded to a vehicle parked in a fire lane with two subjects inside. One subject was passed out in the front seat. The two were arrested for being drunk in public, and the vehicle was removed.
Vandalism--April 5, 9:44 p.m. on Ohlone. A resident reported juveniles were spray-painting a bridge. The juveniles left the scene in a vehicle, and it was too dark for the resident to get a description.
Shoplifting--April 5 1:48 p.m. on North Santa Cruz Avenue. Three digital cameras worth a total of $1,600 were taken from a store during business hours. It is believed the alarm system was also tampered with.
Theft--April 4, 11:04 a.m. on East Main Street. Two recent thefts occurred at a local business including a diamond ring. The business owner next door has possible suspect information for the police.
Grand Theft--April 4, 2:35 p.m. on West Main Street. A home telephone, a cellular phone and a palm pilot were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Arson--April 3, 10:33 a.m. on Oka Road. A fire was set next to a trailer park over the weekend.
