    Anything can happen

The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a Business Breakfast Forum to explore potential disasters that could face people in business. Presented by corporate financial management consultant Howard Thomas, the presentation will cover planning for the worst disasters in the business world.

The breakfast takes place April 27, from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the Toll House Hotel. Cost is $15 for Chamber members, $20 for nonmembers.

The Chamber also holds its Business After Hours Mixer April 21 at 546 N. Santa Cruz Ave.

    Call 354-9300.

    Treehuggers, rejoice!

Los Gatos has been named "Tree City USA" by the U.S. Forest Service for the 19th year.

To become a tree city, communities must have a tree protection ordinance, an arborist, a community forestry department, and observe Arbor Day.

Tree-planting ceremonies will be held at local schools April 30: Daves Avenue at 9 a.m., Blossom Hill at 10:45 a.m., Van Meter at 11:30 a.m., and Alta Vista at 1 p.m.

    Planners set a late night

The Planning Commission is scheduled to hold public hearings April 28 at 7:30 p.m. on proposed housing developments at 330 University Ave. and 15350 Winchester Blvd., better known as Villa Felice.

Both applications were put on hold at commission meetings earlier this year, giving the developers time to hold public study sessions.

An architectural and site application for Eva Ogilvie's proposed hotel on E. Main St. is also scheduled to be heard.

    Call 354-6872 for more information.
