    Police Report

    Disturbance--April 12, 6:39 p.m., on University Avenue. Four juveniles in a corner house were seen throwing oranges at passing cars. A police officer cited them and had the culprits clean up their mess.

    Commercial Burglary--April 12, 2:26 p.m., on Winchester Boulevard. A suspect broke into a soda machine at a lodge.

    Fraud--April 12, 12:37 p.m., on Union Avenue. A resident reported that a check she wrote for $150 was altered to $1,500 and cashed in a bank at a local grocery store.

    Commercial Burglary--April 12, 11:45 a.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A business owner's barber shop was broken into during the night. The front door was kicked in and the cash registers were cleaned out.

    Vandalism--April 12, 8:57 a.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Sometime during the weekend, an unknown suspect cut the lock off a night drop box.

    Vandalism--April 12, 7:30 a.m., on High School Court. An unknown suspect broke a window in the school's main library.

    Vandalism--April 12, 6:41 a.m., on Roberts Road. Two locks were cut and taken off a fire gate and outside freezer at a school corporation yard.

    Residential Burglary--April 11, 1:44 p.m., on Spring Street. An unknown suspect broke into a barn that is not attached to the victim's home. The lock to the door is the only thing missing. The resident is concerned because her car was also recently broken into.

    Vandalism--April 11, 1:26 p.m., on San Benito Avenue. Two car tires were slashed sometime during the night.

    Petty Theft--April 11, 8:02 a.m., on W. Main Street. A sign was taken from outside a business for the fifth time. The caller said 125 plants and pots have also gradually disappeared and that homeless people congregate next to his business at night. He requested extra patrol checks.

    Petty Theft--April 10, 2:22 p.m., on Spring Street. A resident's briefcase and jacket were taken from his car sometime over the last two days.

    Harassment--April 10, 9:35 a.m., on Carlton Avenue. A woman received a phone call at 3 a.m. from an unknown man who made sexual comments about her.

    Dangerous Animals--April 9, 6:41 p.m., on Aurora Lane. Two black labrador retreivers broke through the caller's fence, mauling and killing her small dog. The reportee fears for the safety of children in her neighborhood.
