New pavement for LG Boulevard

If the weather cooperates, the town is scheduled to pick up where it left off and resume paving Los Gatos Boulevard from Main Street to Blossom Hill Road on Tuesday, April 21.

Traffic delays are expected between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Town officials say drivers should consider avoiding the area, if possible, and use an alternate route.

Work should be finished by Saturday.

The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce holds an informal get-together for local business and professional people to meet and mingle on Thursday, April 23, at
5:30 p.m. at Uniglobe South Bay Travel Center, 51 University Ave.

Food and drinks will be served, and the Chamber advises those who plan to attend to bring plenty of cards and brochures.

For more information or to make reservations, call Pattidawn Horn, 354-9300. Cost is $5 per person.

SummerHill back to Planning Commission

SummerHill Homes comes back to the Planning Commission with its plans to build 47 homes on Blossom Hill Road this Wednesday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Developers plan to build 40 homes on 20 acres and restore one older house that belonged to the family that originally owned the orchard. SummerHill also will be looking for input from commissioners on six custom lots in the development, which the developers may elect to build themselves.

The commission considered the development March 11, but decided to delay making a decision until commissioners could
visit the site.
