Football Signups

The Los Gatos Pop Warner Football Association will hold football and cheerleading signups for the fall season on April 23, 6-9 p.m., at the Los Gatos High School Teen Center. Returning players can sign up on April 22, 6-9 p.m., at the Teen Center.

Youngsters ages 8-15 and living in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell or Willow Glen are eligible. The registration fee is $195 for football players and $125 for cheerleaders. Youngsters signing up must provide a copy of their birth certificate, a 2x3 photo, a recent report card and a medical release.

The season begins on Aug. 1. For information, call 270-1443.

The local Pop Warner organization is also looking for adult volunteers. Call Dave Szafranski at 291-6663.

Baseball for Kids

Diamond Skills, a baseball program offered for boys and girls by the San Jose Parks Department, will be held April 26, 2-4 p.m., at San Jose PAL Stadium. For more information, call Bob Sorrells at 277-5556.

Basketball Camps

A series of girls' basketball camps will be held at Santa Clara University this summer, with sessions running June 6 through July 31. For information, call Shaunice Warr at 554-4567.

Coach to Speak

Bill McPherson, a member of the coaching staff of the San Francisco 49ers for 20 years, will be the guest speaker at Bellarmine Prep's annual Alumni Council luncheon on May 6.

McPherson, a 1950 graduate of Bellarmine, is a defensive assistant on the Niners staff.

Cost for the luncheon, which is open to the public, is $15. Reservations are required. For more information, call 294-9224, ext. 460.
