The season may be well under way in the Los Gatos Little League, but teams will officially open the season this weekend when the league hosts "Baseball Celebration Day" at its Blossom Hill Park complex.
Festivities will begin at 9 a.m. on April 26 with the introduction of the players on each team in each division.
Tony Granato and Doug Bodger of the San Jose Sharks are expected to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and C.B. Hannegan's will put on a barbecue throughout the day.
Baseball action begins at 11:15 a.m. when the defending champion Pirates take on the Rangers on the main field.
