Police Report

Suspicious person--April 12, 2:16 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A possible transient asked the caller and friend for money and was profane when they refused. He also followed them to their car. Police contacted the man, counseled him and sent him on his way.

Neighborhood disturbance--April 12, 11:55 p.m., on Castlewood Drive. A caller complained of a loud party. Police contacted the party-goers and warned them to quiet down.

Grand theft--April 13, 8:34 p.m., on Shannon Road. The caller was missing a gun registered to her and had possible suspect information. Police took a report.

Drunk in public--April 14, 1:03 a.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. After noticing a man who appeared intoxicated, police contacted him and arrested him for public drunkenness.

Alarm--April 14, 10:20 p.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. Police responded to a commercial alarm and discovered janitors accidentally activated it.

Indecent exposure--April 15, 8:02 a.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A man was running naked through a parking lot. Police arrested him.

Auto burglary--April 15, 3:12 p.m., on Blossom Hill Road. Someone smashed the window on the caller's truck and stole a cellular phone and stereo. Police took a report.

Stolen vehicle--April 16, 8:10 a.m., on Eaton Lane. Someone stole the caller's sport utility vehicle from the driveway overnight. Police took a report.

Drunk in public--April 16, 9:09 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Someone reported a possibly intoxicated man near a liquor store. Police contacted the man and arrested him for public drunkenness.

Suspicious person--April 17, 7:09 a.m., at E. Main Street and Maple Lane. Joggers around E. Main Street and the Los Gatos Creek Trail reported seeing a short man dressed all in black--including a black stocking cap--walking along the trail. They also said he seemed somewhat mentally unstable. Police searched the area but did not locate him.
