Jenny Dixon, a Blossom Hill School fifth-grader, was among some 150 local youngsters who helped celebrate Arbor Day by planting a mature oak tree behind the police station to replace the old oak that fell in the winter of 1995. The new tree is in the background behind the young people as they prepare the soil for planting during the April 25 ceremony. For the 16th year in a row, the town has been named a Tree City USA. The Los Gatos Rotary Club provided funds for the moving and planting of the tree; students from St. Mary's School provided cookies and soft drinks.
