Music festival at Loma Prieta Gym

The Loma Prieta Foundation invites the community to attend its Spring Musical Festival on May 6, at 3 p.m. inside the Loma Prieta Gym, 23800 Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Los Gatos. The afternoon features the Sacramento Capitol Pops Concert Band, conducted by Jerry Lopes, as well as the Blossom Valley Wind Ensemble and the Santa Teresa High School Jazz Band, both of which are conducted by Judy Bingman, former director of the Los Gatos High School Wildcat Marching Band.

At 5 p.m., the festivities continue with wine-tasting, hors d'oeuvres, a barbecue and a silent auction. At 8 p.m., guests can dance to the tunes of the Closet Rockers band. Attendance at the musical is free; cost for the concert is $5 and cost for the barbecue is $15. Proceeds benefit the Loma Prieta Foundation.
