Van Meter School fourth-grader Scott Curtis joined the Army for a day when he assumed the identity of General George Patton during "Famous Person Day." His teacher, Jubie Jaramillo, organized the event as a way for her class to learn about various well-known historical figures. Each student not only prepared a short oral report about his or her subject, but also dressed up for the part.
