One more joins the council race
Los Gatos resident Mike Wasserman says he is planning to run for the Los Gatos Town Council in November. Wasserman is the former owner of Collector's Corner II on N. Santa Cruz Avenue, coaches youth sports and is involved with several nonprofit organizations.
Wasserman is the fourth publicly confirmed candidate in the race for three seats. Incumbent Joe Pirzynski, Los Gatos Planning Commissioner Paul Dubois and Chamber of Commerce board member Diane McNutt have said they will be running. The seats that will be vacant are those of Pirzynski, Mayor Randy Attaway and Councilman Steve Blanton.
Study session on the docket
The Los Gatos Planning Commission will hold a study session on May 29 to discuss procedure within the planning process. Commissioners will review procedural changes in effect and in progress, and will talk about issues identified at a recent retreat with the town council.
The study session starts at 6 p.m. at the town council chambers, 110 E. Main St. For more information, call the planning department at 408.354.6872.
Chart House hosts May mixer
The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce is holding its May mixer at The Chart House, 115 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Refreshments and raffle prizes will be available at the event, which is on May 22, 5:30-7 p.m.
