    Chamber holds business mixer

    Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce members and nonmembers alike are invited to attend an after-hours business mixer at The Terraces on May 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

    The mixer offers opportunities for local professionals and business owners to meet, exchange business cards and enjoy food and drink.

    Cost is $5 for members and $15 for nonmembers, and may be paid at the door. Call 408.354.9300 for more information.

    County Parks say go outside and play

    In celebration of the beginning of the park season, Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department has declared June 3 as "Go Outside and Play" day, and will waive all vehicle entry fees.

    Lexington Reservoir and Vasona Lake parks are among the 28 county parks that will drop the entry fee on June 3. Parks will also give away frisbees and bumper stickers, and will sell 12-month "Venture" passes for autos and boats for $50.

    CASA to talk about dope at general meeting

    The Community Against Substance Abuse, CASA, is having a general meeting on June 1, from 10 a.m. to noon to educate community members on substance abuse issues.

    The meeting will also focus on developing a plan to implement educational and alternative activities for youth, CASA's target audience.
