    Cyclocross Champ 'Buckwheat' Meighan

    Local athlete learns that the sport of cyclocross is much like life--filled with potholes and other surprises


    In the sport of cyclocross, 'Buckwheat' has been a notable nickname since 1986. Rob Meighan, a 37-year-old Monte Sereno native, Saratoga resident and Los Gatos church-member, competes world-wide; last year he raced in the cyclocross world championship, in Belgium. And while he may have lost some of the wildness he displayed when he first took to the sport, he has maintained the intensity.   More
