    LGHS senior Annie Farnady will perform 'Suite for Tuba' at the June 9 concert.



    LGHS bands and SJ Wind Symphony join in concert

    The Los Gatos High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble joins the San Jose Wind Symphony for a concert on June 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school's Prentiss Brown Auditorium, 20 High School Court.

    The concert features a variety of numbers, including Chester Overture and Irish Tune from County Derry played by the LGHS Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble; and Morning, Noon and Night and Amazing Grace by the SJWS. The concert also features the premiere of a composition written by LGHS senior Brian Heisman and a performance of Haddad's Suite for Tuba by LGHS senior and tuba soloist Annie Farnady.

    Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available at the door. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call LGHS band director Jim Francisco at 408.354.2730, ext. 241, or Jan Turnage of the San Jose Wind Symphony at 408.927.7597.
