    Lifelong Los Gatos resident Jon M. Petersen died June 2 at the age of 37.

    Born Sept. 28, 1961, in San Jose, Petersen went through the Los Gatos school system and graduated from Los Gatos High School. He worked as a tow truck driver for a San Jose-based towing company.

    Petersen is survived by mother Donna Petersen of Los Gatos; father Max Petersen of New Mexico; sister and brother-in-law Laurie and John Miller of San Jose; nieces and nephew Megan, Jennifer and Peter Miller of San Jose; uncle and aunt Jim and Gloria Horn of Los Gatos; and cousins Eric and Khris Horn and Susie de Souza.

    Los Gatos resident Marjorie N. Loftis died of cancer May 22 at the age of 54.

    Born June 12, 1944, in Oklahoma, Loftis moved to Pasadena in the early 1950s, where she attended Los Angeles State University. After marrying husband Bill, she settled in Los Gatos in the mid-1960s. She was a real estate agent for a San Jose realty company for many years.

    A very creative individual, Loftis also ran her own business, Images and Reflections, for which she made jewelry, arts and crafts items and Father Christmas figures. "On the day she left the earth, the wind spoke," Loftis' family members say about her.

    Survivors include husband William "Bill" Loftis of Los Gatos; daughter Jennifer Loftis of Portland, Ore. and son Mark Loftis of Sunnyvale.

    Memorial services have been held.

    Irene Jensen

    Los Gatan Irene F. Jensen died May 18 of cancer in her daughter's Los Gatos home. She was 85.

    Jensen was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Modesto and spent much of her life there. Known as "Nana" to her family, Jensen eventually moved to Los Gatos to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

    Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Jan and Randy Willoughby of Los Gatos; grandchildren Jason and Allyson Willoughby of Los Gatos; sisters Edith Day, Maude Holmquist, Blanche Hiatt and Myrtle Holmquist, all of Modesto; and brother Rex Freeman, also of Modesto.

    Memorial services have been held, with interment at Acacia Memorial Park in Modesto.
