Suspicious people--June 24, 9:33 p.m. on Blossom Valley Drive. A caller saw a young person trying to climb a roof and heard others yelling and running around. Police contacted the juveniles, who were playing capture-the-flag, and sent them home.
Stray animals--June 25, 10:15 a.m. on Mariposa Avenue. A caller complained that his neighbor's chickens run loose, and he was worried about the birds defecating on his property and vehicles. Police left a note at the chicken owner's home.
Malicious mischief--June 25, 2:51 p.m. on Vallecitos Way. Someone threw golf balls through the caller's window during the night. Also, someone left a pumpkin with profanity carved on it and a knife on top. Police took a report.
Alarm--June 26, 2:46 p.m. on Shire Court. Police responded to a residential alarm and discovered a house cleaner who didn't know the alarm code.
Prowler--June 24, 10:18 p.m. on Towne Terrace. A short man with sandy blond hair was circling buildings and looking in windows. Police took a report but did not locate him.
Harassing phone calls--June 26, 9:02 p.m. on Euclid Avenue. A fired contractor called and threatened to tear down the portion of the caller's fence he had already built. Police gave advice.
Neighborhood disturbance--June 27, 4:07 a.m. on Bicknell Road. A caller complained of a chronic problem of a boombox blaring from a shack behind a nearby house. Police contacted and counseled the individuals responsible.
Driving under the influence--June 28, 12:45 a.m. at Pollard Road and Highway 85. Police stopped a driver and arrested him for DUI.
Suspicious person--June 28, 6:45 a.m. on Union Avenue. A man who appeared to be a transient was seen sitting and drinking, then reading a Bible. Police counseled him and sent him on his way.
